OPPORTUNITY
Designers were asked to create a book campaign as a partnership between Penguin Books and a nonprofit organization.  

SOLUTION
I was assigned Room To Read as my nonprofit organization. I chose to focus on Room to Read's girls program, which funds schooling for young girls around the world who otherwise would not have access to education. I selected four young adult novels with strong female protagonists from various cultures as the first collection of an annual Girls Who Read Campaign. 

The funds from the purchase of one book would be matched by Penguin in order to fund one month of schooling for a girl in Room to Read's girls program, with the goal of funding as many girls as possible for an entire year.
