2020 LOCAL GOLD- MAGAZINE DESIGN
OPPORTUNITY
My group of three designers was tasked with creating a magazine publication inspired by International Style design. We were given a portion of text to include on several International Style designers, but the rest was up to us.
SOLUTION
Through extensive research we drew a connection between International Style and Scandinavian design. From this, we decided to create a travel publication for a website called Scandinavia Standard. The publication was intended to serve as somewhat of a travel guide for the five Scandinavian countries, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland. We worked to keep the design consistent with both International Style and Scandinavian design, working with beautiful imagery and simple type.
